A temperamental boiler is an inconvenience that we all experience so we have put together a list of the top three problems that occur with boilers!
Hot Water but No Heating
If you have hot water but no heating, an easy fix is to increase the boiler pressure, this is something you can do without calling out an engineer.
No Heating or Hot Water
If your heating and hot water aren’t working, it is best to contact an engineer as there is no single issue that results in the boiler failing to provide heat or hot water.
A noisy boiler can be annoying, distracting and make you wonder what is causing it. If your boiler is making a noise, there can be a number of causes dependant on the type of noise and where it is coming from. If your boiler is whistling, it could indicate that there is a build-up of sludge on the heat exchanger, a banging is usually caused by debris or a problem with the pump and a clanking noise may be the result of a loose pipe. Other noises such as humming, gurgling and buzzing can also indicate a problem.
